Summer solar heater heat up water by transfer the heat in the sunlight to the cold water inside the panel. You might encouter the issue of running out hot water when there is a shortage of sunlight.
However, there is no need to worry, all Summer water heater comes with a booster inside the tank. To heat up the water, switching on the booster switch is all you need.
Notes: The time require to heat up the water will depends on the tank size. It may take 1 hour to 4 hour to heat up the water from room temperature to 60 degree celsius.
Troubleshooting guide:
- Switch on solar water heater booster switch. (If the fuse box trip, click here)
- Wait around 2 hours for the water to heat up.
- If the water does heat up, but was not hot enough, you may keep the switch on for 2 hours more.
- If the water do not heat up, this might be due to faulty heating element, thermostat or even burned wire. (Please contact us to repair your solar heater)
Notes: During rainy season, you might need to switch on the booster switch. It is recommended to switch it on for 4 to 6 hours a day when it rains for 2 days in a row.
